Its not 20 $ extra, its 200, and if your aunt needs surgery, its 2000. . . good luck with that

@firsttakemanhattan Actually Canadian US tax burden is similiar and the Canadian middle class actually has more disposable income. Not to mention property tax that in some cases are as much as 5 times our property tax rate.

As for family Doctors, actually as of around 2006 Canada overtook the US in number of family doctors per capita according to the OECD – hence we have more family doctors.

Now Canadians have some of the highest incidences of major non communicable diseases. . . . . . . . . .

@Caryatides The average ER wait time in the US is 240ish minutes according to press ganey. According to the CIHI 90% of Canadians wait around this time or less.

If our care is so terrible then perhaps explaing why we live years longer

How do you see the further care and treatment in the fact that my aunt had until fà ¼ nf days to wait to receive to also a hospital bed? Which you is better than in America? I wà ¼ rde rather pay the extra $ 20 those which can be treated received, when fà ¼ R4 wait months, to one a MRT.

funkyflights 09/03/2010 at 08:40

Well at least they will be in line. . . . right now most Americans doctors are the Emergency room. . . . plus I”ve been to Canada and the whole line thing is BS. . . . I live on the border and have been treated there many times. . . .
