In which John offers a summary of the health care reform bill that just passed the US senate, discussing the insurance exchange market, pre-existing condition clauses, medicare taxes, and other fine points of the still-under-debate bill. Here’s a good explanation of how the insurance exchanges will look like: bit.ly Thanks to Alan Lastufka ( youtube.com ) for the Ben Nelson asshat photo. About abortion: The senate plan works like this: Policies covering abortion would be available in the exchange market (at least in some states), but those plans would have to collect two separate premiums–one covering everything other than abortion, and one for abortion coverage. The subsidy (available to all families making less than about $88000 a year depending on number of kids) would only apply to the non-abortion policy. If this seems like a hilariously stupid distinction, that’s because it is. Ultimately, it of course doesn’t matter which policy the subsidy goes toward. But then again, every federal program “supports” abortion in some way. For instance, without federally funded highways, it would be impossible for most women to get abortions. All government spending indirectly goes to support all activity in America, but it’s ridiculous to say that, for instance, food stamps encourage meth use, even though sometimes people trade meth for food they bought with food stamps. It’s equally disingenuous to say that this bill will allow federal funding of abortions, unless you’re willing to argue that all government spending funds abortion.

There is much that you do not say there are more than 2000 pages on the insurance provisions to reach and have the have-nots. What else is there? how about personal bank with federal access to their accounts, decide RFID and committees, their care and so on. . . tell all, who not only what people want and like, but we prefer to talk about things that we DO NOT want to talk

Universal health care in the US is unconstitutional; that is why the state AGs are going after it. Dem AGs are ignoring out of politics. The “Cornhusker Kickback” is unconstitutional because it unfairly benefits one state over all others plus “carve outs” for other states. This would be the first “ins. ” to be required by the feds and if it is enacted and you don’t pay: YOU GO TO PRISON.
Oh yeah, on a separate issue, medicare is bankrupt; adding a NEW entitlement program is foolish.
OPT OUT of blomacare. . .
NOBODY WANTS IT. .
Its Poison. . . . .
I really have no idea what point it is you’re making so, that politics hasn’t always been like this? That federal healthcare is socialist?
I don’t appreciate your attitude though, you deliver a backhanded
insult and ignore my response to it. I would still like to know how I’m ignoring history, apparently willfully according to you. We all need more education. I get that it’s supposed to make me look foolish, but I really can’t disagree. There really is no need to be so abrasive though.
@ kh739Wissen you, I tried, manierlich. Only because we have different views, meant, we do not können to be not höflich. And say RH READ your message to me, are not you not missing commas. Complex Sätze has usually punctuation marks. Which those do not know, what stands f? ? for r mA, I am not an American. It könnte really stands f? ? for r somewhat. I do not need to democrat of governors, over its political motives exactly fà ¼ r do not demand an investigation of the political problems, which Schäden of its own parties, or as you said: " Confidence politician will, in order to understand politicians. @kh739
I’m finding your message difficult to understand but I’ll try and reply as best I can. If you do choose to reply could you please cut down the abbreviations and run on sentences with no punctuation? I’m not making fun, I just can’t understand some of your message. How many democratic governors do you know intimately? You’re making a huge assumption based on their political alignment there. I just don’t see your basis for that? With regard to ignoring history, how am I doing so? MA?
